TimberGuard® is the solution to decay. Chemically treated wood has long been under attack by the marine environment and tougher environmental regulations have weakened the durability of this material. New, less effective chemical treatments needed to comply with regulations are causing marine structures built using chemically treated wood alone to deteriorate faster than ever before.

Environmental regulations have toughened, forcing restrictions on treated wood directly touching the water. These changes have forced property owners to look for alternatives in the marine and waterfront market. TimberGuard has already been approved for use in many marine situations where typical treated wood is already banned. Even if regulations do not exist in your area today, there may already be plans to adopt them in the future. When obtaining permits in your area, be sure to check on the regulations for your project.
